Ode to Flute

Ok... so this is one of those examples of my bad poetry... but I just can't help it!  Stay tuned today for episode 3 of Assault on the Castle (seriously... it's coming out today... finished or not!  Sorry for the wait!).

Ode to Flute

Oh wondrous silver tube
with your shiny keys and soft white pads
lying in your velvet bed
you're sorely overlooked by the lads

The light flickers off your side
my fingers caress your enticing skin
my heart leaps into my mouth
you're ever so smoothe and clean

Oh fabulous flute, behold!
Your tubular power makes me bold!
With you in my grasp, I can win any task
your magic will never grow old

Lifting your mouth to mine
My arms about you entwine
My fingers are yours, forever, my love
When we dance, when we sing, it's divine!

Oh gracious glistening shaft,
How softly you handle the air
We'll dance and we'll spin all night long
in our passionate affair.

Oh fabulous flute, behold!
Your tubular power makes me bold!
With you in my grasp, I can win any task
your magic will never grow old

And now, alas, the time has come
to end our glorious night.
I place you gently in your box
close the lid, and turn out the light.

Oh sensuous flute, sleep well
I will not be away for long
I already miss you, I'll be back in a few,
to continue our eternal song.

If you enjoyed that... firstly you're probably mad, but secondly, please feel free to comment.  Actually, if you didn't enjoy it, comment anyway!  In fact, comment if you didn't even finish reading it
